Stanislav Nedkov is a talented light heavyweight fighter currently competing for Sengoku (World Victory Road). Strong, quick and fast, Nedkov is blessed with good athleticism but will need to work hard on refining his technical skills and harnessing his raw talent. Although he's still very green, Nedkov does enter the sport with good grappling credentials and already holds notable wins over UFC veterans Kevin Randleman and Travis Wiuff.

Nedkov comes to the sport with bases in wrestling and BJJ, and his grappling game is a nice blend of the two disciplines. A powerful wrestler, Nedkov is capable of delivering big slams and is particularly effective from in close with his takedown attempts. From top position he shows good submission defense and excellent raw ground and pound skills - proving capable of raining in a fierce attack of quick, powerful punches (see bout with Kono below) from the top. Still green, he does get a little chaotic at times but the speed and ferocity with which he hits is very obvious when watching him. Nedkov will need to work on improving his takedown defense and he was put on his back multiple times in his bout with Kevin Randleman. Although he's a fairly decorated European grappler and does hold a BJJ black belt, Nedkov doesn't offer much offensively (subs, sweeps etc.) off his back and usually looks to hang on, try to avoid taking damage and hope the fight gets back to the feet. Nedkov's wrestling, BJJ and ground and pound abilities are encouraging, but he really needs to work on polishing them off and applying them better to his MMA game.

Nedkov definitely has work to do on his standup, but he shows good raw talent and the potential is definitely there for him to develop into a solid MMA striker. Nedkov is quick and moves around well on his feet, he displays good defensive instincts, and he's equipped with fast hands and good natural power in his punches. Nedkov possesses a nice short right cross that generates a lot of power, and it was that punch that he used to drop Travis Wiuff before finishing him with punches on the ground. He also shows good instincts from in close throwing quick knees to the body, although the greenness in his overall standup is clearly evident early in his career. Nedkov likes to dive in with his punches and look to clinch on his feet and does get predictable at times with his punching. He usually throws one or two punches at a time and doesn't string together many combinations, and his inexperience in the clinch has resulted in numerous low blows being thrown (by accident) early on. Nedkov will really need to work on refining his technique, but with the right training he has the tools necessary to develop into a good striker.
