Pace is known for being hard working, mentally strong and extremely focused. His intangibles are excellent as he is very dedicated to his craft and possesses excellent conditioning.

Pace is a quick, aggressive striker who shows good footwork and impressive hand speed. He works his jab, displays good high kicks and shows good technical precision throughout his standup game. Pace is a very dangerous standup fighter who has the confidence, technique and power to finish in impressive fashion. He explodes up the middle with flying knees, accentuated in a brilliant highlight reel knockout of Collin Tebo during his Bellator FC debut. From in close, Pace looks to lock on to the thai plum where he can fire off quick knees to the body as well as up high to the head. He possesses terrific power potential for a bantamweight, and shows strong technical skill to compliment his natural abilities. Pace is also defensively aware, keeping his hands up and fighting with composure. He uses his footwork effectively in maintaining distance, and shows nice head movement and the ability to slip punches on the inside.

While Pace's background is that of a striker, he's shown a lot of versatility in his MMA arsenal early on. Pace is equipped with good strength, displaying a nice double leg and the capacity to slam opponents to the mat impressively. Additionally, he's very quick, having displayed a nice sprawl and strong technical ground skills. Pace shows a good positional grappling game, working hard to improve his place on the mat. He controls opponents nicely on their back, and shows quick transitions from the top. Pace actively searches for submissions, quickly shifting between attempts, especially between his triangle and armbar. To compliment his developing technical aptitude, Pace delivers a quick ground and pound attack from all angles on the ground. Furthermore, he's comfortable fighting off his back where he shows solid sweeps and good composure.
