Michal Fijalka is a light heavyweight fighter who’s worked his way through Polish based promotions KSW and Beast of the East. Currently training with the Berserkers fight team, Fijalka is recognized as a powerful grappler and aggressive finisher.

Fijalka possesses strong grappling abilities from top position. He looks to overwhelm opposition fighters with his ground and pound, never ceasing in punching opponents into giving up either position or submission opportunities. He’s a prototypical power grappler who shows good top control, aggressive transitions and a capable submission game. Fijalka will look to muscle his way through his opponent’s guard, and does have a tendency to rely heavily on his physical strength. As he proceeds in his career Fijalka will need to continue improving his technique, especially in terms of his wrestling and guard. Michal has encountered problems trying to control aggressive grapplers from the bottom, and will need to work towards improving that and defending better against the ground and pound.

While still green, Sztanga’s striking has shown promise. His arsenal includes a powerful right hand, quick high kicks and heavy low kicks. Fijalka will press the action and load up with big overhand rights and powerful hooks. Although he’s primarily recognized as a grappler, Fijalka is comfortable trading and attempting techniques such as flying knees. Technically however, he will have work to do. Fijalka is still quite flat on his feet and should work towards improving his footwork and fluidity. He also tends to let opposing fighters get inside his range and open up on him, or take advantage of his stance with punches down the middle.
