A member of Team Alpha Male, Lance Palmer is a high level amateur wrestler who holds monstrous potential as a mixed martial artist. During his sophomore season of wrestling Palmer had made the decision to try his hand in the sport, and upon graduating he relocated to Sacramento, California where he began training immediately.

Palmer enjoyed a decorated amateur wrestling career, beginning at the age of nine and going all the way through to his senior year in college. As a student at St. Edward High School, Palmer captured four Ohio State Wrestling Championships and during his junior season became only the second wrestler in Ohio State high school history to pin his way through sectional, district, and state tournaments. Once he graduated, Palmer made his way to powerhouse school Ohio State University where his accomplishments continued. Among them, Palmer would earn NCAA Division I All-American honours four times, a 2010 Big-Ten Championship, and a second place finish at the 2010 Division I National Tournament. Entering the sport with a superb technical wrestling pedigree, fantastic credentials, and the athleticism to excel in all aspects of the sport, Palmer holds massive potential as an MMA grappler. During his collegiate career he consistently showed extraordinary balance and defensive wrestling skills that should only bolster his takedown defense as a fighter. Furthermore, in addition to the speed, strength and quickness that were trademarks of Palmer’s wrestling style, he also showed remarkable flexibility on several occasions (see his 2010 Big-Ten finals matchup as an example). Palmer’s power takedown game, physical wrestling style and overall athletic abilities are extremely well suited for mixed martial arts. Early on Palmer has shown glimpses of a power submission game, and strong ground and pound abilities that will need continued refining as he progresses in his career.
