Jorge Lopez is a gifted fighter and current member of the Wand Fight Team. He enters the sport with a very solid base and solid credentials in several different disciplines. At the age of thirteen, Lopez began training in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in muay thai. Eventually, he would make the move to Brazil for six months where he spent the majority of his time training at the famed Chute Boxe Academy. Upon returning to the United States, Lopez turned his attention to wrestling where he would go on to capture two Utah State Wrestling Championships while in high school. He immediately began training full time after graduating, and went on to take his first professional bout at the age of eighteen. Currently, Lopez trains out of Las Vegas, Nevada where he regularly spends time training at Xtreme Couture and the Warrior Training Center, in addition to the time he puts in at his home gym at the Wanderlei Silva Training Center. Early in his career Lopez has secured notable victories over Brent Cooper, Jamie Fletcher, Chidi Njokuani and Dave Terrel, and appears to have a very bright future ahead of him in the sport.

Lopez is armed with a good straight right and nice high kicks. He makes good use of his knees from in close, and is a competent all-around fighter who shows potential on the groudn. Still raw and inexperienced, Lopez will need to continue working on his all-around game although he has shown the potential to develop into a versatile fighter given more experience and time to train.
