    ANALYSIS
One of the most exciting young prospects in the sport today, Goran Reljic's natural abilities are apparent every time one watches him fight. An excellent grappler, Reljic fights out of the Gracie Barra UK camp training jiu jitsu under Roger Gracie, and was a former two time winner at the 2007 European Gracie BJJ Championships (as a purple belt). Although initially known for his grappling abilities (5 of his first 7 wins came via submission), Reljic has also displayed excellent striking potential in his most recent bouts, and has trained his kickboxing with legendary striker Mirko Cro-Cop in the past. Those striking abilities were on full display when he made his UFC debut in 2008, where he passed the first major test of his career with flying colours stopping respected American Top Team fighter Wilson Gouveia by strikes in the second round. In that fight he displayed excellent kickboxing skills, most notably a powerful left high kick and solid straight left punches en route to the victory. Reljic has showed the makings of being a very well rounded fighter thus far in his early career, and holds immense potential in the sport. However after a very promising UFC debut, Reljic's career has become sidetracked due to injuries. After suffering a major back injury, he has not fought since May of 2008 and has only recently begun training again.
    OUTLOOK
Goran Reljic is undoubtedly one of the top prospects in MMA. At only 25 years of age, the upper ceiling to his potential is limitless and he has the ability to develop into an elite level, bonafide top five fighter at middleweight. He shows well rounded skills and has the potential to be a complete mixed martial artist with very dangerous standup and ground games. However, there are still questions surrounding the effect his recent injuries will have on his growth as a fighter, and only time will tell what impact they will have on his promising young career.
