Frank Gomez is a versatile bantamweight and member of the Jackson's Submission Fighting team. He enters the sport as an experienced wrestler who was introduced to the sport at the age of five. After one year of attending NCAA Division II School San Francisco State College on a wrestling scholarship, Gomez decided to leave school and pursue his fighting career on a full time basis.

An experienced wrestler, Gomez shows a good sprawl and solid takedowns. He utilizes a nice ground and pound game on the mat, demonstrating the ability to deliver good punches, and big, cutting elbows from top position. He continues working on rounding out his grappling arsenal, and will work a high guard off his back. Very flexible, Gomez demonstrates competent rubber guard skills and defensive awareness although he will need to work on his offensive repertoire. On occasion, he's been put on his back and controlled and will need to work towards continuing to improve his BJJ and ground game.

Gomez possesses a quick, well rounded striking arsenal. He's armed with good reach and nice hands, while showing the ability to fight with composed aggression standing. From the outside, Gomez looks to land a right cross and quick leg kicks. He has a solid clinch game, having demonstrated the ability to land effective knees from in close. A confident striker, Gomez is comfortable (and capable) of landing quick flying knees and pressing the action when the fight is on the feet.
