Arthur Guseinov is a talented middleweight striker who’s competed in European promotions M-1 and Pro FC. While considerably undersized at 185 pounds, Guseinov does hold a notable win over Russian Magomed Sultanakhmedov. Entering the sport with backgrounds in Russian Sambo as well as kickboxing, Guseinov is a multiple-time hand-to-hand fighting champion in Dagestan who holds very intriguing potential given his exciting, flashy brand of fighting.

Guseinov is a tremendous striker who’s equipped with a very exciting standup arsenal. Aggressive and agile, Guseinov is very light and quick on his feet. He likes pressing the action, showing excellent speed and precision in his striking. Guseinov’s most trusted weapon is his kicking game, which helps alleviate much of the issues surrounding his reach effectively allowing him to work from the outside. Armed with a Cung Le-eque repertoire of kicks, Guseinov strikes with outstanding speed, power and superb technical precision. With an arsenal consisting of spinning back kicks, tremendous high kicks, heavy low/body kicks, quick side kicks and spinning heel kicks to the head, Gusienov’s armed with a diverse and potent offensive striking game. He links his kicks together very nicely when stringing together kicking combinations rarely seen in MMA, and he does so to a high degree of effectiveness (Guseinov is particularly fond of starting his combo’s with a high spinning back kick). To compliment his kicks, Guseinov also shows good hand speed, power and technical aptitude in his punching. He throws a quick left hook and right cross, and his kicks do a very nice job of opening up opportunities for him to utilize his hands. Guseinov also shows strong clinch awareness as well as good movement and defensive awareness, and overall shows the ability to develop into a very dangerous and complete MMA striker.

While primarily recognized for his striking, Guseinov has also shown considerable promise in his wrestling. Guseinov is equipped with a very competent takedown game, showing good technique and fluidity in them. He works well from in close where he utilizes an arsenal of quick trips and throws, in addition to a good double leg. Although Guseinov will follow his opponent to the mat and attempt to finish by posturing up and aggressively looking to land punches from the top, he’s certainly most comfortable keeping the fight standing. Generally Guseinov isn’t an active ground fighter and his mat skills and grappling abilities have yet to be proven, although they will likely play a pivotal role in his future accomplishments in the sport.
