Artemij Sitenkov is a Lithuanian bantamweight prospect, known for his time on the European fight circuit. A strong grappler, Sitenkov is a high level sambo practitioner who is a two-time Medalist at the Combat Sambo World Championships (Silver in 2009, Bronze in 2008). Offensively, Sitenkov possesses a slick submission game and strong guard skills. He's comfortable and willing to go to his back on the ground where he's active and proficient in submissions. Sitenkov works a very high guard and is extremely quick with his hips and legs. He actively pursues submissions on the mat and is particularly adept with leg locks, triangles and armbars. Sitenkov transitions very rapidly between attempts and does have a gorgeous flying armbar victory over James Doolan, which he transitioned to beautifully while being held against the cage. While Sitenkov has proven to be quite adept at finishing on the ground, there are concerns that his MMA arsenal is a little one dimensional. He's shown toughness and a good chin but little finishing ability on his feet, and will need to continue working on his overall striking game as well as his defensive submission skills.
