Aaron Rosa is a light heavyweight prospect who's competed for Elite XC, Bellator and Strikeforce early in his career. He shows good patience throughout his game, doing well to wait for openings and not waste energy during his bouts. Currently part of Team Punishment, Rosa continues working on his ground game to compliment the capable skills he's shown on his feet.

Rosa fights with composure on his feet where he looks to work his jab, cross and hook. Although he's not afraid of exchanging or pressing the action and letting his hands go, Rosa does so in an intelligent manner and avoids rushing in against strong counter strikers. Rosa's armed with respectable punching power, good reach, and a nice straight right counter. He judges distance well, and likes taking the center of the cage and working his striking from the outside. Rosa's most effective when he can create distance, and will need to work on his standup from in close. He can be controlled against the cage and will need to continue improving his clinch game. Speed is also a concern in Rosa's game, as he isn't known for his the speed in his striking or his footwork. Defensively, he will need to tighten up his guard and get better at keeping his hands up and checking kicks.

While he isn't known for his wrestling, Rosa works the single leg from close range and is capable of taking his opponent to the mat. Rosa isn't overwhelming from top position, but he does possess an active ground and pound game and will work from side mount where he'll try to secure the crucifix. Labelled early in his career as being "anti-jiu jitsu", Rosa has since warmed to the technical intricacies of the ground game and shown developing BJJ skills. He works the body triangle, shows the competency to transition between positions, and is capable of capitalizing on submission opportunities on the mat. Although Rosa is good at getting back to his feet off his back, he will need to continue working on his offensive guard and BJJ game.
