STRENGTHS
Imada is a crafty veteran of the sport who has squared off against a strong level of competition. Competitive everywhere, Imada is respected in all facets of the game and throws everything at his opposition. Imada’s a strong grappler with a black belt in judo and an incredibly slick, offensive submission game. He possesses a fantastic armbar, and is very creative, aggressive and smooth with his attempts. Imada lands quick transitions and is very slippery off his back. To compliment his ground game, Imada has shown confidence in his striking. He comes equipped with knockout power and shootboxing experience. Imada is particularly good in the clinch where he’s shown the dual ability to take his opponent down with a nice assortment of trips and throws (a very good inside leg trip), as well as the capacity to consistently land knees, short punches and upper cuts. Imada looks to finish and it shows as he’s established an excellent finishing percentage over his career.

His submission defense is not on par with what he can do offensively. As an aggressive striker, Imada will play into the game plan of counter punchers. Because he’s so aggressive in his submissions attempts, Imada will give up positional opportunities - especially off his back.
