STRENGTHS
Brian Ebersole possesses good experience against a strong level of competition as a mixed martial artist. An exciting, confident personality, Ebersole has shown competitive skills both standing and on the mat. He’s armed with good size, reach and aggression, and has proven to be an extremely unorthodox and creative striker. He’s often seen switching stances and making use of odd angles, while delivering kicks/punches not often seen in MMA competition (including double punches, cartwheel kicks and the like). From in close he delivers big knees up the middle, and has shown a granite chin in walking through power punches. An experienced wrestler, Ebersole is a strong top position grappler who works an aggressive ground and pound game. He’s also shown good submissions on offense, with his long limbs aiding in a variety of chokes – especially the arm triangle.
WEAKNESSES
Ebersole is not a technical striker and he often lunges in with his punches. Although his aggression is commendable, he’ll often leave himself open to being hit and will need to improve his footwork and defensive striking. Ebersole’s defensive submission skills have failed him in the past as he does tend to slow down in the later stages of fights, and begin telegraphing takedown attempts.
