I have been hearing a lot of talk about the Strikeforce women's 145 pound division being dead now that Cris Cyborg has tested positive for steroids (no surprise there) but in all honesty I think that Scott Coker needs to look at it like this. There are many women out there that are talented at this 145 lb. Division such as

1. Rin Nakai, who has a record of 10-0-1 and has been racking up wins in Japan even though many American fans may not know her.
2. Cindy Dasdois (5-1) is another female fighter out there that brings a lot of excitement to her fights and has great stand up.
3. Edaine “India” Gomes (8-2) a American Top Team fighter from Brazil and has great BJJ, winning 5 fights by armbar.
4. Gina Carano-(7-1) I'm a huge Gina Carano fan, but besides from acting and modeling at one point was the face of women's MMA. Now with Cyborg out of action for at least a year, this is her time to make her triumphant return to the cage.
5. Hiroko “Cats Eye” Yamanaka-(12-1) recently was beaten by Cris Cyborg but the results were overturned due to Cyborgs “supplements”. “Cats eyes” is a expert grappler and Submission ace, she is one of the best female Catch wrestlers.
6. Ronda Rousey-(4-0) who is signed to Strikeforce and fighting Meisha Tate in March. She is a Olympic Medalist in Judo and in 2007 won a gold medal at the Pan American Games.
7. Miesha Tate-(12-2) can easily fight at 135 and 145 and have great fights and match ups.

Some people are skeptical of women's MMA but I believe that Strikeforce and ZUFFA needs to keep 2 divisions alive cause there are many women out there who are rising up, even fighters we have yet to hear of that are training and striving to be top women fighters.
